Try to encourage your teenage daughter to participate in activities that will burn calories, while still being fun and enjoyable, such as swimming, hiking or playing frisbee. Fill a water bottle with water and have your teenage daughter carry it around with her to sip throughout the day. Water hydrates the body's systems and will boost metabolism, making weight loss easier. Water will also replace unhealthy, high-calorie drinks, like soda and juice. If your teenager is getting at least 64 ounces of water per day, her weight loss will increase and her energy level will rise.
